About Rooey
One-of-a-Kind Fashion, Designed with Purpose in Cape Cod
Rooey was founded with a simple mission: to create sustainable, one-of-a-kind clothing that stands apart from the world of fast fashion. Based in Cape Cod, Rooey is led by Head Designer Gareth Brown, who brings a lifelong passion for thrifting, textiles, and conscious design to every piece.
“In a market filled with fast fashion and mass-produced products,” Brown explains, “it’s important for us to offer our customers the opposite: sustainable, high-quality, unique items.”
The name Rooey comes from a childhood nickname — short for “Little Kangaroo” — and reflects the brand’s playful, personal roots. Rooey's designs feature feminine, timeless silhouettes made in small batches using remnant fabrics — leftover textiles too small for mass production but perfect for creating something special. Each garment is thoughtfully crafted, resulting in limited-edition pieces that are as individual as the people who wear them.
At Rooey, sustainability isn’t just a buzzword — it’s stitched into every seam.
